Week 3 Update.
Paul started out just over 3 weeks ago at Winstanley’s in Wigan. Choosing his bike and getting it set-up like his old bike 7 years ago, he was given free run of the warehouse as he picked his bits. Heading out with his new MirraCo setup we were straight off to St Helen’s, Victoria Park to hit some of his old local ramps.

In the following 2 weeks we managed to get to parks in Huddersfield, Warrington and Manchester. Sometimes taking a little longer to get into things, mainly depending on how busy the parks were. Feeling the pressure, Paul will hold back a load until the kids all start to leave… and then he’s in his element. With a park to himself, he has time to find lines, practice old tricks and get his training under way.

Having met another local rider who’s been modelling himself on Paul for the past 2 years; ginger, 6’5″ Loyal Soldier Phil Waring has been Paul’s new riding buddy.

After a few visits to Rampworx in Liverpool, Paul was lucky enough to get the place to himself for a few hours. Getting to tackle the ramps he daren’t go near when there’s a park full of kids, confidence starts to build. Massive thanks to the Rampworx guys for letting us run wild after-hours.
So Paul’s been nailing his old tricks, a few new ones and reckons up to his old standard already. Having signed a shoe and a school shirt at parks in Warrington already, he reckons he’s hit the big time. Unfortunately, school kids don’t give out sponsorships so he’s gonna have to get himself upside down before he can decide how far this can go.
Now we plan to meet more riders, hit more spots around the country and keep Paul set on that 4 week deadline. We’ve got some good shoots planned in the next fortnight which should see Paul in some foam, on some resi and maybe even some dirt. See what we’ve got planned – follow us and like us!
